Fairlane

    On Little Fork Lake
ABOUT

ABOUT

The original cabin, set on four wooded acres, was built by William Thiede in the 1940s as well as two out buildings and a boathouse. In 1989, a few years after William's passing, his wife Florence Thiede made the decision to sell the property and move south to live out her years. Patrick Baxter of Madison purchased the property as a family retreat and maintained the buildings and land for as long as his growing family could manage. Completely rebuilt in 2015, Fairlane (named in tribute to American Industrialist, Henry Ford's countryside manor in Dearborn, Michigan) has hosted family and friends of the Baxter's ever since.

THINGS TO DO

Winery Tour

Three Lakes Winery has been making the Original Cranberry Wine since 1972. As the second oldest winery in Wisconsin, we have our roots in tradition of authentic wine flavor. The McCain family's unique wines are made from whole fruits and berries, no flavorings or juices added. If you've never tasted a fruit wine before - start with these!

Leisure Activities

Take time for yourself at any point throughout your visit. Hammock naps, target shooting, wood collecting are all options to pass the time and show kids the beauty of this land.

Pine Isle on Medicine Lake

At Pike’s Pine Isle, we believe in old-fashioned hospitality, great service and delicious food brought to you year round. Join us at our rustic, lodge-inspired facility with a cozy stone fireplace, ample seating and plenty of games to keep you entertained. In the warmer months, take advantage of our spacious yard with over 200 feet of lakefront on Medicine Lake, complete with multiple docks to park your boat.

Sand Bar

Treat the kids and adults to a social event on the water! You can find the family friendly sand bar via boat or jet ski under the bridge and right at the mouth of Island Lake. Follow the sounds of the season to join the party.

Snowmobile Adventure

Welcome to the Snowmobile Capital of the World®. With an abundant amount of snowfall annually it seems as if the snowmobiles out-number the cars.

Eagle River, WI

Rainy Day?  Eagle River is located on a chain of 28 lakes, the largest freshwater chain in the world. Ice cream parlors and souvenir shops convey a genuine northwoods charm. Fall means cranberries and scenic drives. Snowmobiling, including the World’s Championship Snowmobile Derby, takes center stage in the winter.

GUEST REVIEW

" This is the place people go to escape, a place made of  cabins, pine trees and lakes. But no matter how far you drive, there's no sign to say "you've arrived" . So  just follow your heart to where you'll find your special place that brings peace of mind as you breathe in the air and unwind.  Your cares are all left behind,

it's no mystery where the Northwoods start...when you arrive Up North, you'll know in your heart."
